New Year's Eve

The Williams family rang in the new year with gusto this year!
First, we dropped the children off at Grandma's house for her annual "New Years with All The Grandchildren" party. She's a brave woman.
Then Mark and I drove a mile down the road to our friend, Maggie's house for an adult fiesta.
It was a small group of friends, but we had a wonderful time together. Some of us go back since elementary school (me, mark and maggie). Some went to high school together or college. There's a lot of love in this group. (Plus a lot of incriminating stories in our collective memories!)
I'm told the kids had a great time and played a LOT of games. Charlie's new favorite is Uno (although he hates to lose).
The boys stayed up until about 10pm and the girls stayed up until midnight to watch the ball drop and engage in their traditional noise-making mayhem.

This time it woke the boys up so they came down for a little festive merriment.
Back at our party, we brought in the new year in much the same fashion.

The next morning, Grandma toasted with the children using sparkling juice (which the kids did not care for).

We even snuck in one more toast when we came to retrieve our little ones.
Happy New Year, everyone!
