Oktoberfest at Aunt Cheryl and Uncle Rogers

The family had a great time at Cheryl and Roger's Oktoberfest this year!
They just purchased miniature donkeys, and the kids got to feed them.

Addison enjoyed being held by her family members.
The big kids got to go on a wagon ride courtesy of cousin, Gage.

Uncle Jack and Aunt Tina brought their new wood burning pizza oven and treated us to some delicious pizzas.

Morgan spent quality time with her Godmother, Alison.

Later, Grace gave her own wagon rides.

Charlie's First Day of Preschool

Charlie started his second year of preschool today. After almost 4 months of summer, he was ready to go back to school.
Morgan saw him off to school.
This is Charlie's second year at Liberty Heights Preschool. We love it there.

Charlie is in the turtle class.

He found his name right away and hung up his backpack on his own.

Then he traced his name and put his name in the basket (indicating that he's here today).
Then it was time for mom to leave. 2 1/2 hours he informed me that he did not miss me 'not even a bit'. I guess that's good :)

Taylor's First Day of Kindergarten

Taylor's first day of kindergarten finally arrived today! Her brother got up bright and early with Taylor to see her off.

Mommy took her to the bus stop while Grandmama stayed home with the little ones.
Taylor assured her mommy that she wasn't scared a bit.
She did observe that it was a bit cold and dark outside. (The bus comes EARLY!)
Taylor was the first one on her bus. Her bus driver is really nice and let her pose for a picture before heading off to school. (I'm not sure where her smile went. Maybe she was just a tiny bit nervous after all.)
Mommy drove to the school to see Taylor get off the bus. Her cousin, Grace, is on her bus!
All the kids gather for morning prayer before heading off to their classrooms.
I was not the only parent who came to see their child off on the first day.
Finally it was time for Taylor to follow her teacher to the classroom.
And Grace went off to her big first grade classroom.
I guess I'll hear about her day in about 7 hours!
