Preschool Thanksgiving Feast

I went to the kids' Thanksgiving feasts at preschool today.
Charlie ate everything on his plate.

Then he made a turkey craft.
Taylor was a good eater, too. And the last to finish.
Her Native American name was Playing Bird.

Then she enjoyed Turkey Bowling.

Charlie's Busy Bee Class

Charlie's teacher finally posted more class pictures to their website. The quotations are what Charlie had to say about them.

"We were a train."
"It was wiggly and cold"
"That's Claire" (This was their Crazy Hat Day. Their version of halloween costumes at preschool.)

"We were shaking the tree to see what would happen." When asked what happened he said "Some leaves fell off".
"Those were pumpkin pancakes."
"I ate the mouth first."

Happy Halloween

We had a great time trick or treating this year. Charlie was a puppy dog and Taylor was the cutest witch I've ever seen.

They rode in style while mommy pulled them in the wagon.
They did a great job saying "Trick or Treat", "Thank you", and "Happy Halloween". They also practiced their witch laugh and doggie laugh.
Morgan got in on the action in her lobster costume (she was not a fan).
Charlie was so excited about all of his candy. He picked out a sucker to eat tonight. (Now how to get rid of it. I can think of one way...)

Halloween Parties at School

Taylor and Charlie had their halloween parties at school today. Charlie's started out with an orange treat (orange is the color they're learning about right now)
He ate all of his- carrots, cantalope, peaches, mandarin oranges, cheese, popcorn, candy corn, orange juice and all!
Then they went outside and picked a pumpkin.

He did a nice job decorating it.
His teacher, Miss Nicolle, helped when mommy had to go to Taylor's class.
Then, after making a trailmix, the kids enjoyed wagon rides through the building. Here he is with his friend, Eli.
Taylor's day started with a hat parade.
Then they made scarecrow crafts.
I couldn't get her to smile big until I said "Say Morgan". That did the trick.
Next, they had a snack of dirt and worms (you heard me).
Then by far the best part of the party was when mommy sang silly halloween songs with the class and let them dance and play instruments!
I was so impressed when Taylor pulled Charlie and our friend's son back to the car in the wagon. She must be eating her Wheaties!

Happy Birthday

We celebrated Charlie's 3rd and Taylor's 5th birthdays last weekend.
It was a beautiful day, and we were able to go on the back deck.
The kids chose a Mickey and Minnie Mouse theme for the party.

Cousin Alison came with her Minnie ears on!

Don't they look so thrilled with their cakes?

Morgan had a fun time, but found it hard to sleep with so much action going on around her.
The kids got lots of fun toys and clothes for their birthday. Taylor loved the Tinkerbell Tea Pary set that Grandma and Grandpa (from KY) gave her. She and Grandma retreated into her room to play with it.
