Another July has come and gone

What's this?  A party? A costume party? No, just a summer night at Chick-Fil-A in which these kids' cool mom let them leave the house exactly as they were dressed- jammies, wigs and all!

And so began the next month of our carefree summer.

Taylor went away to camp for the first time this summer.  I was so proud of her!

The day after her return we went camping again with my college friends.

Going to a game at Prasco Field was on our bucket list so I made sure we saw one before the end of their short season.

A friend alerted me to this field of sunflowers so I dragged the kids there the day before vacation.

Then we were off for eight days in Minnesota!

The first half of the week we spent in the suburbs of Saint Paul.  As soon as we arrived we did some geocaching to kill some time before visiting with my dear friend, Erin.

We visited Como Zoo and Park.

We caught an outdoor movie at downtown Stillwater.

We even checked out an authentic candy store in Stillwater!

(more geocaching)

We even crossed another thing off our summer bucket list- family bowling.

Then we spent the second half of the week near Detroit Lakes at the Olson's lake house.

Words fail to describe the joy, serenity, and contentment we feel on the lake, but this photo comes close:

As does this one:

And let's not forget this one:

Morgan took to kayaking like a fish to water.

I took a more posed family photo on our trip, but this one is my favorite.

This little guy stole our hearts.

We love you, Andy and Heather!

And that's a wrap!
