Happy Halloween

The kids had a wonderful halloween last night. It started with dinner at the Wells house. Then it was time for the much anticipated Trick-or-Treating.
The girls had planned their costumes with grandma weeks ago and went around the neighborhood with her. (They even braved on of the neighbors haunted garage.) The boys went with Uncle chad.
The little girls stayed with their mommies while they sat at the end of the street passing out candy.
Morgan entertained herself with Aunt Jessica's candy bag for more than an hour.
The boys came back first, but only minutes before the girls.
Then they went inside and checked out their loot!
Today Charlie informed me that there were only two more days until he got to go trick-or-treating again. Wishful thinking...

Schappacher Farm 2011

The Williams family paid their annual visit to Schappacher Farm today.
First we checked out all the crazy pumpkins and gourds.
Mark thought this one made a good hat.
Then the kids rode Timmy and Train while Daddy and Morgan watched.
Next it was off to the corn maze. (Taylor's favorite) Charlie was our fearless leader and made it through with only two wrong turns. My favorite part was when Taylor read the sign "Do Not Pick the Corn" with expert ease.
Finally it was time for the wagon ride to the pumpkin patch.
The kids had fun checking out all the big pumpkins. We decided on one that we thought would make a good jack-o-lantern (our project for tomorrow).
We are now officially ready for Halloween.

Fall Fun

Today was such a beautiful day. A perfect day for Charlie's field trip to Niederman Farm!
The first thing he got to do was jump on a big bouncy floor. Needless to say, he loved it.
Then he saw some animals including ducks, cows, pigs, turkeys, and chickens.
After a quick picture with some classmates it was time for the hayride to the pumpkin patch.
Decisions, decisions...
We finally settled on a big pumpkin for Charlie,
and a little one for mommy.
Next it was snack time and then off to the farm's playground.
Before we went home mommy remembered their corn maze, so we headed over for an adventure.

Later the same day, mommy took the kids outside to play in the leaves.
Morgan wasn't too sure at first, but then she liked it.
Taylor and Charlie liked jumping in the leaves and being buried in them.
Mommy had her work cut out for her when the children tracked bits of leaves throughout the house and all three needed baths. Oh well, it was worth it!

My Big Six-Year-Old

Taylor officially turned six years old today and had a wonderful birthday! First, she and mommy slept in (not intentionally!). Luckily, Daddy woke us up in time to make it to morning assembly where the whole school sang to Taylor.
Then Mommy surprised Taylor with McDonald's for lunch, and got to meet lots of her school friends.
Then Mommy came back at the end of the day to see her class sing to her and help her pass out her birthday treat (yummy cupcakes).

After school, Taylor went to the dentist where she got an extra prize for her birthday. We ended the day with one of her favorite dinners and more cake!

Charlie and Taylor's Birthday Party

We celebrated Charlie's 4th and Taylor's 6th birthday today.
The kids got to spend some quality time with the family.

Daddy made some delicious chili for dinner.
Mommy made a Thomas cake for Charlie.
Taylor's cake was Hello Kitty.
They were so excited to open their presents. Mommy was so proud of them when they remembered their manners and thanked everyone for the gifts.
Morgan had a good time, too.

Grace helped Taylor decorate cupcakes to take to school tomorrow.
At the end of the night, mommy remembered to take a family photo.
