First Snow of the New Year

The kids did not have preschool today due to the snow. We had a great day at home, though. It started off pretty calm. Charlie and Taylor got along very well. Charlie even sat still long enough for Taylor to read him a story.
Then everyone got into their own activities/projects.

After naptime, I could hold the kids off no longer. It was time to venture outside.
I think I have a picture like this from every year.
This time they were very into digging in the snow and basically moving it from one place to the next.
I brought out plastic cups, frisbees and a shovel. How easy it is to make them happy.

Morgan was a good sport, but when she started screaming it was time to go inside. Taylor asked if they could have some fruit snacks 'to warm up'.
Check out this video. It was Charlie's first attempt at a snow angel:

Happy New Years!

Well, the Williams family saw 2010 through with a bang! Jodi and Mark actually got to go on their first date night since Morgan was born. We went out to dinner and then to a play. It was so nice!
Meanwhile, the kids spent New Year's Eve with their cousins at Grandma's house for a sleepover.

The had an ice cream party with all the fixin's.

Then the boys went to bed and the girls stayed up. As you can tell, Morgan was thrilled.
After Morgan went to bed, the big girls stayed up waiting for the ball to drop and eating popcorn.
At midnight, they went outside to blow their noisemakers. They were excited to see fireworks in the sky!

Both girls were asleep by 12:15AM this year. Still, Taylor took a looong nap today!

Christmas Eve and Christmas

Merry christmas to everyone! We have had a wonderful time. On Christmas eve we went to grandpa's house after church. Dad made a truly delicious meal that will be talked about for years to come.

Then the magic began on Christmas morning. Charlie was so excited about opening presents this year. He even opened one before we all got in the room. Oops.

Every year I take a Christmas morning photo with my kids. I feel so blessed to have three healthy, happy kids this year.
Taylor asked for a doll that looked like morgan and had morgan clothes. She was thrilled when Santa delivered.

It did not take long for the kids to reap such havoc on the living room. So fun.
Then they played with their toys while mommy and daddy made a delicious Christmas breakfast.
The wells family and grandma came over to enjoy it with us.

Then it was time for more presents!
Taylor opened all of Morgan's for her.
She was so cute in the swing watching everyone and collecting her loot.
After a brief siesta, it was time for the Damon family christmas at my aunt and uncle's house.
Charlie and Jacob played with Charlie's new trucks.

Poor Taylor has been feeling sick off and on all weekend. Here's hoping for a healthy day tomorrow when we get to stay in and play with our new toys.

Christmas Parties

Charlie had his Christmas party at school this week. First he made a reindeer card and special reindeer food (for the reindeer to eat on Christmas Eve).

Then after a a brief music program (that he did not sing for!), they got to decorate and eat cupcakes.

He liked finding the ornament that he decorated and showing it to his teacher.
Charlie loves Miss Nicolle!
Today we went to the MOMS club holiday party. The kids got even more Christmas treats to eat there.
Morgan was a trooper and only cried once. Then she fell asleep.
Then Santa surprised us with a visit!
First he read the kids a book and then handed out presents.
Taylor would not sit on his lap this year. That's okay, because I don't think his lap was big enough for three kids anyway!
Charlie was thrilled to get his Thomas bath toys and Taylor got some Strawberry Shortcake dolls. (Santa didn't forget Morgan. She got a rubber duckie.)
