We celebrated Grandma's birthday at the Wells house.
I taught Morgan a game that my mother taught me when I was little. There's really not much more to it than what is pictured below, but she loves playing it.
Woo hoo! I finally finished my project of creating family yearbooks for every year we've been married. It was a lot of work, but so worth it.
My favorite part is watching the kids enjoying them.
March had very mild weather from the start. Spring came early this year, and it was definitely welcomed.
I got the kids little gifts for St. Patrick's Day.
Morgan made us cards. I was especially impressed by mine which she did completely on her own (although I did tell her how to spell Patrick).
My uncle retired after 55 years of working for LaRosas. We surprised him with a party at the end of his last shift. He was rewarded with pizza for life.
Morgan had an Easter Egg Hunt at school.
When we got home she immediately started sorting her candy into three piles- one for each of the Williams children.
I have a lot of photos like this, but it is such a big part of her story. That blanket is certainly well loved.
We finally squeezed in dying eggs two days before Easter.
Charlie was trying to teach Morgan how to play chess.

We met the cousins at a nearby park for an Easter Egg hunt. Look who was there.
There were different sections for different age groups. I was in charge of these two cuties.
I really can't get enough of all the blooming trees around town. My sister is blessed to have some beautiful blossoms adorning her driveway.
And my father-in-law has some beautiful magnolias in his front yard.
On Easter morning, the kids woke us up at 7:45 with excitement. They then proceeded to find all three Easter baskets within 3 minutes.
Morgan made Easter cards and gifts for each member of the family. She made them weeks ago and has been so excited to give them to us.
She made books for each of us and even gave Charlie and Taylor $3 each!

We celebrated Easter at Grandma's house this year. It could not have been a more beautiful day.
Of course we had an egg hunt for the little ones. Taylor and Grace were in charge of stuffing and hiding all the eggs.
With every group shot comes the obligatory 'silly one'.
We also took advantage of us all together and dressed nicely for a nice shot of Grandma with her three girls.

I can't believe it, but Jacob turned NINE this month!
The kids were on spring break during the last week of March. I urged Mark to take a little road trip since our children are road warriors. He agreed and planned a wonderful adventure for us at Lake Cumberland.
The first day, we drove to Cumberland Falls State Park.
We checked out the falls in a touristy area and had a picnic lunch.
Then we drove to the other side of the river and found a trail that Mark had scoped out ahead of time.
We took this photo because we were intrigued by the huge bulge at the bottom of this tree.
At the start of the trail, Mark expressed concern that it might be too difficult for the children. I remembered from my days of Colorado hiking that kids seem to take on trails much more easily than adults. Our children were no exception. In fact, the only thing they complained about was who would lead our group.
We were rewarded with beautiful views throughout our hike.
Our hike led us to Eagle Falls which was tucked away in a secluded location.
The kids immediately set out to explore every nook and cranny.
I utilized my handy new selfie stick to get a family photo on the way back.
After our hike, we drove 40 minutes to the house Mark had rented for us. It was a wonderful space filled with everything we could need.

We watched a movie the first night and ended up staying up until after 10pm!
The second day had called for rain so we planned on staying in for part of it. But not before walking down to the lake to check it out.
The house was stocked with old board games. The kids found this gem from 1964 and set it up for Mark and I to go head to head.
We also brought a few games of our own.
Charlie found this sling shot in the house and Mark taught them to sling rocks into the lake.
We traveled into town and watched Zootopia at the local movie theatre.
After the movie, we searched for a few geocaches.
That night we made dinner at home and watched another movie. On the last day we hung out in the house for a bit before eating breakfast and packing up.
Before leaving the house I suggested a family photo. I only had one taker, but I love the photo anyway.
We then drove to Beaver Creek Marina and rented this beauty.
The lake was very windy and we had quite an interesting time trying to eat our lunch. Especially when sitting at the top of our double decker boat.
It was a nice, relaxing time on the water, and once again the children did not complain a bit. In fact, they even thanked us for renting the boat for them. Taylor took this photo of her mom and dad.
And I took this one (with the help of my trusty selfie stick) of me with a full heart.
There are no pictures from the last two days of spring break, but Mark, Uncle David and I went to Covington for an art exhibit and some music while the kids had a sleepover with their cousins. And yesterday, was our lazy Sunday. We caught up on American Idol and prepared to jump back into the grind. Hello April. We're ready.
