Krohn's Conservatory Butterfly Exhibit

The kids and I went to the Butterfly Exhibit with Aunt Jessica, Grace and Jacob.
Charlie loved trying to catch the butterflies on the silk flowers that they gave us.
One liked his hair better than the flowers!

Taylor has two in this picture.
This big one stayed on her flower for over 10 minutes!
She shared it with her brother who was fascinated.

The girls tried to share with each other, too.
Afterwards, we had a picnic in Eden Park and then the kids played on the playground. Overall a successful outing for the beginning of the summer!

Mt. Pleasant Nursing Home

Today we went to a nursing home with our MOMS club to help plant flowers with the residents.
I was so proud of the kids. They weren't shy at all.
They enjoyed seeing the home's pet rabbit, Marley.
We're going back next month and I'm going to lead an intergenerational music therapy group.

Here's Taylor with 'Grandpa Ray' and Bob. When asked what he thought of all these kids, Bob said "I'm glad they're not mine."

Outdoor Fun

Mommy and Daddy made some improvements on the swing set this year, and the kids are having a great time with it.

(The cousins like it, too!)

Charlie's last Mighty Max class

Charlie had his last Mighty Max class last week. Here he is with his class (He's the first on the left and his cousin, Jacob is the 4th on from the left)
They did a lot of fun things for their last class including parachute, bubbles, obstacle courses...
and popsicles! (Ms. Gena kindly brought some for the big sisters, too)
Charlie getting his last stamp.
He loved the little dipolma that Ms. Gena gave him.

May 11th, 2010

I enjoyed going to Taylor's preschool for a Mother's Day Tea this year.
Taylor had lots of surprises for me- crafts, flowers, a card...
but my favorite was when the class sang and signed You Are My Sunshine
.

Afterwards, we went to Aunt Jessica's house to celebrate her birthday.
Grandma and the kids put on a nice concert for us after dinner.

She loved her Mother's Day present from the kids.

April 2010

It's been a busy spring at the Williams house, but Aunt Jessica lovingly encouraged me to update the blog so here's some more April pictures:
The kids were thrilled to finally get their own computer. We hooked up one of our old ones and used the keyboard they got for their birthday. Taylor's really good at using the mouse and playing games on Sesame Street website and Noggin. Charlie's getting the hang of some keyboard games.
I couldn't resist this shot.

Here's Taylor and Charlie making banana nut bread (or as she calls it "banana mushy bread")

Mark took me out do dinner and Cirque Du Soleil for our anniversary. (Also a good belly shot)

I'm such a lucky mom...

Happy Easter

We had a wonderful Easter despite Mark having to work that day. The kids especially enjoyed the egg hunt at Aunt Jessica's house.

Easter Time

The kids have been preparing for Easter. Here's Charlie at an egg hunt.
Afterwards the boys compared their loot.
And the girls swang with Grandma.
Charlie and Taylor were fond of the Easter Bunny this year because he gave them suckers.
A big change from last year when they wouldn't even sit on his lap:

They did so well coloring eggs this year, too!

Sibling Love

The kids had a great March. Taylor finally got to take Spot home from preschool. Here she is dancing with him. (Charlie's dancing with her hamster).
Every mother needs a good bath time picture. I'm not posting the ones of their bottoms. That's just for insurance later...
Here's Taylor and Charlie dancing. (Ignore the other tiara)
How cute are they!
This was after Charlie had already fallen a few times. When he falls in this video, it's intentional. It's a game he and his cousin play- falling and then saying "I'm okay!"
