Taylor went to her first slumber party. The all went to the Y to swim. Since Taylor is a new swimmer, I decided to tag along and be her personal life guard. She did awesome, though and I was extremely proud of her.
She paid the price the next day. I found her sleeping on her floor like this.
I was very busy with soccer photos at the beginning of this month. After a long morning of taking pictures, I picked up the kids and took them to a birthday party. It wasn't until we were at the party that I noticed Morgan's haircut.
Apparently, she and Charlie thought it would be fun if he cut her hair and put it on her baby dolls.
This photo makes me smiles, but really, she did not mind the haircut one bit.
I just wanted to take pictures of her new bed head.
Perhaps due to the guilt of his recent actions, Charlie agreed to a brief photo shoot with mom.
Morgan still takes naps in our basement so as not to be disturbed by her brother and sister. She is slowly phasing out of naps, and likes to play with her babies before eventually falling asleep. I took inventory after this photo and reduced it to a more appropriate number.
As if we hadn't had enough excitement, Morgan decided to stick a tic tac up her nose right before bedtime. I had hoped the doctor would say that it would melt or dissolve on its own. No such luck.
Two hours later we were tic tac free.
The pre-printed instructions for such a situation amused me.
Taylor is cheering again. I took photos at her first pep rally of the season.
Charlie had fun at the rally, too. Can you find him?
I couldn't resist taking a snapshot of my adorable children before church one morning. They all picked out their own outfits.
She got a lot of smiles.
When I first bought this skirt, she refused to wear it. I needed to take advantage of her fleeting tolerance of ruffles to do a little photo shoot.
On Veterans Day, Mark came to the kids' school for a morning ceremony. Taylor and Charlie introduced him in the microphone.
Taylor has really enjoyed being a part of the American Heritage Girls.
I snapped this photo on a relaxed morning when Morgan did not have school. She had just discovered her sister's barbies and doll clothes.
Charlie started indoor soccer this fall. He rocked his first game.
We all enjoyed watching him give it his all.
I was in the kitchen cooking dinner when I called up to Mark in the loft. When he didn't answer, I walked upstairs to this scene. I'm not sure why they all migrated to his couch, but I thought it was very sweet.
West Chester had a christmas event. We went to a friend's bike shop where she had a craft set up for the kids. Morgan had declined a photo.
Then the big girls marched in the Christmas parade.
Just when I was seeing the bottom of the halloween bags, these two made out like bandits with more candy.
Morgan was sitting on me while I was laying down, but I still managed this photo. Her ability to navigate on the ipad is astonishing.
I frequently help out in Charlie and Taylor's classroom. I paused before entering this day and watched as Charlie intently worked on a self-assigned art project during free choice.
Perhaps it is because he is banned from scissors at home.
This is how Mark learned that he is not as young as he used to be. (He had a sore back for days afterward.)
After dinner at the Well's house, the cousins decided to perform the Christmas songs they'd been working on. The two little ones joined in as well. I couldn't believe how much the planets had aligned for all six of them to be standing in a line performing for us. I only had an iphone, but I'm glad I did. They were adorable. (I have video, too!)
I love having both my sisters nearby. We all had breakfast with my mom last week.
These two are finally getting along better. Morgan used to be very bossy and unwilling to share with her little cousin. Suddenly, she is very patient and sweet to her.
When I told Taylor what we were having for dinner, she knew all the ingredients we needed.
If you are unfamiliar with Bey Blades, you probably don't have a young boy. Charlie loves these little things and we frequently have bey battles and tournaments at home.
I'm not sure how coloring a scarecrow led to this.
The kids helped me make 'banana mushy bread'.
